Join us to hear from a panel of experts discussing the importance of equitable accessibility to mental health education and treatment!

Event Details

The Uncomfortable but Necessary Series is back and tackling a major issue in our community and many others: Mental Health. Our first session will lay a foundation, covering the importance of mental health education and treatment and the reality that these resources are not equitably distributed in our community.

Our panel of experts include:

Ben Harrington, CEO at Mental Health Association of East Tennessee

Daniel Watson, Executive Director at The Restoration House

Howard Chapman, Clinical Manager at Cherokee Health Systems

and the panel will be moderated by

Emily Ellis, Licensed Professional Counselor at Middle Path's Intensive Outpatient Program

This will be a hybrid event, with an in-person option and a Zoom option. Lunch will be provided to in-person attendees. If you would like to join us in-person, please reserve your ticket and plan to arrive at 11:30 am to grab food and find your seat. If you are joining us virtually, please reserve your virtual ticket and plan to join us on Zoom a few minutes before the program begins at 12:00 pm.
