Description

WUUC is a welcoming religious community in west Knoxville, where we encourage each person's individual spiritual path.

Event Details

A rabbi, a pagan priest, a drag queen and the Knoxville Gay Men’s Chorus walk into a church... and they all participate in a celebratory kickoff to Pride month!

Join us at Westside Unitarian Universalist Church* on Sunday June 2, 2019 at 2:30 PM for a service celebrating Pride, the LGBTQ/TGQNB** community and the gay rights movement.

***

Westside and the entire Knoxville-area cluster of Unitarian Universalist churches are marching in the Knox Pride Fest Parade on June 22. In fact, we have an entire month of activities planned, starting with a special interfaith service on June 2nd.

The service, entitled "Love Has Broken Down the Wall," will include a performance by the Knoxville Gay Men's Chorus, words from local faith leaders, drag queen story time for all ages with Monica DeChanel, and a powerful spoken word performance by local youth.

Please direct any questions to the Westside Unitarian Universalist Church Facebook page or event coordinator Carolyn Rogers (note4carolyn@gmail.com).
