Krampus 5K & 10K - Knoxville by Virtual Run Events
Event Details
According to folklore, Krampus purportedly shows up in towns the night before December 6, known as Krampusnacht, or Krampus Night. In folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure described as “half-goat, half-demon”, who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts. Krampus is one of the companions of Saint Nicholas in several regions. We are celebrating this year with a Krampus 5K & 10K.
Plus, Crohn’s and Colitis Awareness Week is in December, so we will be donating at least 15% of each registration to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, which is is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.
